I changed my diet and walked 2 miles per day every day. That takes about 30 minutes. I’m sure you can spare 30 minutes. Walking is cheap. The only thing to buy is a step counter (about $6) which reveals how far you’ve traveled, how many calories you’ve burned and how many steps you’ve taken. This is a great way to incorporate walking and weight loss. It allows you to keep a journal of how far you’ve traveled each week and helps to keep you motivated. This is how I did it and my dress size went from a 12 to a 4. Well worth the 30 minutes per day. Walking and weight loss go hand in hand, the
more you do, the better you feel. Walking and exercise can and should begin slowly and build up from there. Don’t over extend yourself or you’ll hurt yourself and have to start over. You’ll be exercising more muscles than you realize. Walking also helps boost your metabolism and in turn contributes to weight loss. By walking 30 minutes you can burn up to 130 calories. And, you’ll keep burning calories for up to 48 hours. Here are some basic improvements walking promotes: Boosts health as well as fitness Improves energy levels Decreases health risks Contributes to percentage of fat burned I was very discouraged at gaining 30 pounds. It was hard carrying around that extra weight. One morning I made the decision to change. I figured out how far a mile was so I could walk there and back. By weighing myself once a week, it was clear I was losing 1-5 pounds a week. And, miraculously, my blood pressure returned to normal. I can’t say enough about walking and weight loss. I know I’m a walking example that it works if you make it a daily practice.
